Bernese Mountain, Swiss Mountain, Mastiff’s, St. Bernard, Great Dane, Newfoundlands, Leonbergers, Bull Mastiff.
For many of these larger dogs much of their weight is in their legs and for many of them their torsos are slimmer than you might expect. These dogs will have excellent results with the X-Large size dog harness. It has worked well for many dogs in 220-pound range. It really just depends on how their weight is distributed.
Larger rear handle on the Hip Lift provides comfort and support when lifting very large dogs.
Select your dog harness size based on your dog’s weight first, then take measurements for accuracy. If your dog’s weight is on the cusp of harness sizes, we recommend sizing down.

The Help ‘Em Up Harness is machine-washable with mild detergent. Set to delicate cycle and air dry for best results.

I ordered this harness in preparation for my dog's TPLO surgery. To be honest I wasn't really sure if we'd need it - she had surgery for the same injury on her other leg a few years ago. That was a long recovery, but she was able to walk out of the hospital the day after surgery and a support sling was all we needed during that recovery time.
I am so thankful we had the Help 'Em Up harness with us when we went to pick her up this time! For the first 1.5 days she couldn't stand up at all much less walk or support own weight. The next 2 days she couldn't go from sitting to standing on her own. I honestly don't know what we would have done without this harness and the hip lift! It had been a complete game changer - less traumatic for her and us to be able to help her stand, support her weight and lift her when needed! She's a big girl and this also saved our backs! I truly can't say enough positive things about it. She's now able to stand up without help and walk (slowly), but I still put the harness on her to help stabilize her or be there to support some of her weight if needed.
I also somehow ordered the wrong size and hip lift style and the exchange was very easy and fast! And I appreciate the military discount!

This harness made my senior dog’s last few weeks so much easier for us, and SO much more comfortable for him.
This was an incredible help for our aging dog. Unfortunately our special Teddy passed away a week after getting the harness. We asked our vet to give this to a dog in need. Wish we had gotten it sooner.

Bought this in preparation for my 105 lb Great Pyrenees TPLO surgery. The customer service rep was very supportive and answered all my many questions about fit, usage, care, everything. Shipping was fast. It was a little confusing to put on at first. I conditioned my dog to it little by little over several days before surgery. He seems to be comfortable and has no issues with it. It lives up to it's name-it help me help him up!
