Choose a Harness

The Help 'Em Up Harness is a full body lifting device, consisting of a front and a back. The back portion is known as our patented "Hip Lift".

When choosing a harness, you will need to

1. Choose a size

2. Choose a "Hip Lift" style

Choose Your Size

In most cases, your dog’s total weight will be enough to determine the size they need.

The Help ‘Em Up Harness is available in five sizes. Each size is adjustable in 11 places to help you meet the unique characteristics of your dog.

Helpful Tip: If your dog is on the cusp of two different sizes, we recommend sizing down.

Things to Consider

AGE/CONDITION

For older dogs that may be struggling with atrophy or degenerative hind quarters, sizing down the harness rear may be needed to achieve an optimal fit. Please explore our Mix & Match option.

Tip: consider where your dog's total weight falls within a size range. If your dog's weight is at the lower end of the range, a smaller rear harness might help. For example, a 50lb dog would normally fit in our Medium harness (45-80lbs). But if this pup suffers from atrophy or degenerative hind quarter, she may benefit from a size Small rear portion combined with size Medium front portion.

BREED

Occasionally, some barrel-chested breeds may require a larger harness front in order to achieve an optimal fit. If your barrel-chested dog’s total weight is between sizes, consider our Mix & Match option—size up the front and size down the rear.

Helpful Tip

Keep in mind that your dog's total weight is the most important measurement when choosing the correct size. We're always here for you if you're unsure. If you need to exchange for a different size, we have a 7-day exchange policy.
