My 27lb 4 year old labradoodle has a lumbosacral joint injury, so no stairs, no jumping, strict rest. I purchased this harness on the recommendation of a vet so I could carry him safely. It's easy to use and SO much better on him than me hand carrying him which was activating his pain. It gives him support where he needs it. I also like the flexibility of separating the front of the harness from the back. The whole harness is well thought out, very easy to fit, and very well made. Even his neurologist gave it a thumbs up.

Total lifesaver
My beloved dog Luna has degenerative myelopathy. She became quite a bit worse,losing more of her back leg function just as a giant ice storm is going on. Everything is impassable. We have a staircase she has to use to get to the back yard. It is a total nightmare.
The helpemup harness is so fantastic. We can get her down the stairs, outside to do her business and up the stairs and on the bed. It even helps to steady her when she walks by herself. I use it to hold her back end up so she can eat without collapsing. This is really the first time we have had to use it for her. She really needs it now. It was relatively easy to fit, and once fitted very easy to get on and off. It only takes seconds, very important when a dog who can’t use her back legs well at all needs to get down the stairs in a hurry to get outside to relieve herself on slippery ground ( with help of course). We will probably be iced in for almost a week ( we live in North Carolina). Wouldn’t be able to take her to the vet.
The helpemup harness is absolutely incredible. It has saved my dog from serious injury. We couldn’t have managed this horrible situation without it. Bless you for inventing it!
