The experience was a game-changer. Not only did it provide crucial support for my pets, but it also spared my back from strain. By enhancing their support and mobility, it significantly improved their quality of life and extended their years. The combination of features and comfort makes this harness my top recommendation for any patient struggling with mobility issues. It's simply unparalleled!"

Need More Support?
Our intelligently designed walking accessories can be paired with the Help 'Em Up Harness to provide additional mobility assistance and extra leverage to support your pet.
Walking Handle
A single support to either the hip-lift handle or to the front shoulder strap. Allows the handle to pivot and swivel.
It can be worn comfortably for extended periods of time, but we do suggest giving your dog a break when it’s not needed. Let them sleep without it if possible. Have a dog that needs a 3am potty break? Just take it off when you come back inside.
Loosen the straps when your dog wants to lie down in it to help prevent hot spots, chafing or overheating.
When left alone, some pups may start to chew on the harness, so we suggest inspecting the harness often. Watch for signs of discomfort, hot spots, and overheating and remove immediately if your dog is bothered.
Is it possible for my dog to relieve themself wearing the dog harness?
Yes! The support straps between your dog’s hind legs are held apart by their tail, giving full clearance for defecation. Both male and female dogs can comfortably urinate with the Conventional Hip Lift without issue. For those male dogs whose penis is further back between their hind legs, we recommend the U-Band Hip Lift.
Is the harness washable?
Yes, all of our dog lifting harnesses can be machine or hand washed, but we recommend air drying (dryers tend to dry out the neoprene over time). Clean regularly with mild soap and consider using a Help ‘Em Up Wash Bag to increase longevity. We do not recommend bleach or other harsh detergents. If urine odor is an issue, soak in white vinegar and water (1:3 ratio) and wash with mild soap. There are also commercial cleaners available that can help to cut odor.
Can I use the back-end Hip Lift by itself?
No. The front half of the dog harness can be used alone but the Hip Lift (the back half) needs to connect to the front half to stay in place, otherwise it can slip off and cause an injury.
What can I do with my dog harness if I no longer need it?
Donate it! Your local vet, vet hospital, therapist, animal shelter, or adoption clinic likely has many dogs who are in need of this support.
Is there a wholesale option?

Because my dog at almost 13 years old was having some issues with stairs I asked my vet for a recommendation on a harness. She let me borrow the help em up harness for the holidays and beyond.Because I was not 100% sure on sizing for the rear harness I sent pics of my dog to the company. They were quick to answer and confirm both front and hind sizing for me. Wonderful to have that help from them. My dog does not need it for the total day yet but for parts where the stairs are involved. Makes me so happy there is something for my dog as he ages gracefully.

Game changing harnes!
After my dog had IVDD surgery on her spine, the traditional sling harness just wasn’t helping and was causing me back pain. The Help 'Em Up Harness has been a total game changer.
It’s so much easier to support her rear legs while guiding her front legs with the two handles, and she’s much more comfortable and secure. I can also lift her myself into the car for vet appointments and physical therapy, which I couldn’t do before.
We are incredibly grateful to have this harness during her recovery—it’s made a difficult time so much easier for both of us.

A LIFE SAVER!!
My Mookie suffered a sudden Vestibular event, leaving him completely unable to walk for a period of time, and so far still compromised in balance and motor skills. During recovery, my friend lent me another brand of halter which was helpful but I could never get the fit right. It became evident that I was going to need a halter long term so I did some research and ordered a Help Em Up. I absolutely couldn’t be happier and it’s made Mookie’s life so much better. He’s oblivious to its existence, and it allows me to help him as needed. And the fit and the efficiency of the connection between the front and rear pieces is perfection. And the design and fit of the rear piece is so much better than the competitor’s. Thanks so much for offering such an amazing product so that my dearest 14 year old boy can live out his years more comfortably.

Works
I’m liking the harness. Takes some adjustments but is helpful for walks with our 21year old whippet/ratty. Customer service is very hands on helpful too.
Hi Elizabeth,
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review—and wow, 21 years young! That’s truly incredible. We’re honored to play even a small part in helping your pup continue enjoying walks.
You’re absolutely right that the harness can take a bit of initial adjustment to dial in the fit, especially for senior dogs who may have unique body changes. Once it’s properly set, it typically becomes much more seamless to put on and use day to day.
We’re also so glad to hear our team was helpful during setup! Supporting you through those adjustments is exactly what we’re here for.
If you ever want us to double-check the fit or fine-tune anything further, feel free to reach out with photos. We’re always happy to help ensure it’s as comfortable and supportive as possible for your pup.
Thank you again for sharing your experience! Stories like yours mean a lot to us.
