Tempted to Give This a 1-Star Rating

Why would I consider giving Help 'Em Up a 1-Star rating?

So, potential purchasers read this review.

Like many people, we waited until it was too late for Chloe, our dog, to use the harness for longer than she could. Old age and old age-related mobility are not linear; they are abrupt. By the time she showed impaired mobility, through to the time we had to say goodbye to her, was less than 8 days.

Chloe enjoyed her hikes; we hiked nearly every day. For the 12 years that she was with us, we hiked an average of just over 357 days a year. She also took her morning walks and helped me with sensitive or reactive issues.

The people at Help 'Em Up are top-notch. When FedEx was unable to fulfill a two-day delivery, they refunded the shipping charge without my request. They were apologetic, letting me know that they would understand if I had to return the harness. I'm glad that I kept it. It allowed us to help Chloe on her last three adventures. Though those trail adventures were short, she was happy.

Please, please, please get one of these harnesses before you think you need one. The harnesses are easy to get on and off, addressing concerns that may arise if your dog cannot stand without assistance. The rear section can be separated, allowing you to loop the strap through your dog's back legs with ease. Other harnesses are difficult and frustrating, two things that you don't need to experience when focusing on your dog's happiness.

Do not hesitate! Get your harness sooner than you think you'll need it. If we find another dog to love and it's not the same size as Chloe, we will pick one of these harnesses right away and hope that we never have to use it, but we're glad it's a drawer away.

Thank you for helping Chloe with her last hikes.

Love this harness

Our dog was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy a few months ago. His back legs have become very weak and he has not been able to stand on his own. We were using a strap we bought on Amazon, but it was becoming difficult to use because of his size (he’s 75 lbs). The HelpEmUp harness has been a game changer. It’s easy to use, super supportive of his back end, and has made it so much easier for him to go to the bathroom. It’s very comfortable for him to wear and I can leave it on him during the day- which makes it easy to help him move around the house and go outside when he needs to. We are incredibly appreciative of this product!

Works perfectly

Five years ago, my dog had surgery. Since then, he’s not as strong and his high legs and so I’ve been using the same harness for all these years. I hook up the leash and then run it through the loop in the back to form a triangle that allows me to support his hind in easily. The attached image isn’t the best but it does show how I loop the leash.
This thing has been a lifesaver for me and my doggy.

X large help em up harness

I purchased this harness for my german shepherd who had tplo surgery. The harness is wonderful! It helps me to keep him moving slow while walking. I would highly recommend the harness. Did have issues with second day air. And not getting it in 2 days. Customer service was very helpful in refunded my second day air. I would highly recommend these harnesses very sturdy!

A little more peace of mind

My 14yo shepherd mix is starting to lose his back legs. it started with slips and trips and not being able to jump into the car. for a few years i just lifted him but it became clear this is a better option. I finally bought it and have been impressed with the quality, plus it works just as intended. great for getting in/out of trunk and also for steep sections on hikes, helping over uneven terrain, and holding his rear up while going #2 so he doesnt lose balance and fall. Really appreciate this thing
