Hip-lifts should not be worn or used separately, without a front shoulder harness to connect to and be secure for safety purposes. The front shoulder dog harness is available separately as a comfortable walking harness, with a handle that provides a convenient grip and to guide your dog. This harness is absolutely amazing. We were able to get a medium front and small rear, as well as an anti rotation strap and walking handle. Everything together takes so much pressure off our rear amputee pup and makes her so much more comfortable. Absolutely recommend!!
Its so wonderful that I could mix and match pieces for this harness. My pup has a big barrel chest and needed a medium-but a weak backend means he needs a small there. I am so glad I could customize as needed. This has made a HUGE difference in Charlie being able to get up and down the stairs without hurting himself (from falling) or us from carrying him. Customer service was fast and wonderful.

We have the whole harness system and have been happy wit it, but I pursued buying a smaller size of the back (hip) lift, as the larger one kept slipping around on his hindquarters. It was a big help to be able to order the back portion separately. The Help ‘Em Up harness was recommended by my dog’s vet and has been a huge help to both him and me. My dog is 16, weighs 50+ lbs and has mobility issues with both front and back legs. The harness makes it easy for me to assist him to rise to standing when he is struggling. It also allows me to help him get in and out of my car without the impact on his joints he would experience from jumping out on his own. The product is well-designed, and has been a big factor in him having an easier and happier life since we purchased it.
The Help Em Up harness is a game changer and a life saver. My dog ruptured her CCL, and during recovery is not supposed to do stairs. Carrying her up and down the stairs every time we went outside to pee was negatively impacting my bag. This harness isn't only comfortable and helpful to my dog, it is saving my back!
